“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:7, New Living Translation)
This is a good reminder once in awhile. God chooses to use us, not because of how amazing we are, but because of how amazing and gracious He is. We are like fragile clay jars; easily cracked and not worth much in and of ourselves, but by the grace of God, we are His delivery system for the priceless treasure of the good news of Jesus.
Question: How can we make sure that we don’t put more emphasis on the container than we do on the treasure inside?
